Friends of Faversham Cottage Hospital Opens (Friends)

Events Diary Faversham Cottage Hospital

Message from the Chair of Friends of Faversham Hospital and Community Medical Centres November 2025

We are delighted that our Cottage Hospital is set to re-open on 2rd December 2025!

We have kept in close contact with our NHS colleagues throughout the last 5 months stressing the importance of the hospital to the whole town. NHS colleagues have kept us up to date about the recruitment of new staff, that has made this re-opening possible.

We know that the role of the hospital has changed and is likely to change again but we are determined that residents should be involved and informed about any proposed changes.

But for now, we look forward to supporting events for patients and staff over the festive season.

GP practices join up to form Faversham Medical Group

The merger of the two practices has already resulted in more GP sessions as additional GPs are recruited. There is still much to do but we are assured that the merger will benefit patients by reducing waiting times and delivering a more efficient and streamlined service for all the patients in Faversham and surrounding villages.

Stall in the market square on 6th Dec – support our fundraising event this Xmas

Come and see us in the market square on Saturday 6th December from 10am till 2pm. There will be Xmas cards and gifts and a raffle, all proceeds helping to support the Cottage Hospital, our GP practices and Urgent Treatment Centre. If you can come and help us at the stall please let me know as soon as possible. Your help, even for a short time will be very much appreciated.

Join us!

Please consider becoming a Friend – we need the support of members to help us with our fundraising activities. The modest annual fee of £5 makes you part of a charity committed to improving health across the town. Let me know if you would like to join us or to receive more information about our work.

SEASONS GREETINGS to you and all your family and friends
